Raw Milk – Take a look!

January 14, 2010 Uncategorized

I'm in the middle of a meeting so today will be a short one. Have you ever tried raw milk? There's little mention about it in the mainstream, however the benefits are amazing. On Thursday Feb 4th at 6:30, Mark McAfee from Organic pastures will be at CrossFit Unlimited giving us the low down. More info here!

Here's what I ate yesterday:

  • Breakfast: 1 Omega 3, 2 egg white, collard greens, 1 sausage, 1 apple
  • Lunch: 1 cup of ground turkey, 1 ½ cup frozen veggies, ½ apple
  • Snack: Skipped due to meetings
  • Dinner: Specialty's Salad w/extra chicken and a little dressing

Post what you ate, your hunger level, and energy level to comments!

    DAY 8 — Thursday
    7am – 2 eggs, 1/3 c egg whites, 2 tsp olive oil, ½ grapefruit
11:45am – hungry! Panda Express veggie bowl w/ Mandarin chicken, no sauce
2:45pm – hungry again – 3 oz salmon, 10 grape tomatoes, too many almonds
4pm – gave in and had 2 bite-size dark Milky Way and another 10 almonds… feeling more bored & tired than cravings
6:30pm – 1 square dark chocolate; Jenna’s WOD – killed me!! Was it the choc & nuts???
8:15pm – 6 oz butternut squash, 5 oz chicken (dark meat), 2 squares dark chocolate
    9:30pm – bed – totally exhausted!

Way to go laurie! I wouldn’t consider dark chocolate ideal pre-WO nutrition. 😉

Went to a company party Friday night (and danced 3 hours!), then skiing Sat & Sunday — most meals Paleo, exceptions being Friday night and my 1 cup chili and cookie lunches while skiing… But back at it — the month’s only 1/2 over, right?
    Yesterday:
8:30 – woke up late and hungry!
9:15 am — 2 eggs, 1/3 c egg whites, 2 tsp olive oil, large nectarine
12:30 pm – 3 oz raw ahi tuna, 5 oz green pepper, 3 oz apple, ½ cup friend’s chili (had to try it!)
3:30 pm – 3 oz chicken breast, 4 oz green pepper, 4 oz tomatoes
6:30 — WOD (got hungry just before, ~6pm, but pushed myself on my make-up WOD)
9:15 pm – 6.5 oz salmon (yummy out of oven and I was starving – couldn’t stop eating), 8 oz red cabbage, 8 almonds
10:15 pm – went to bed
