Paleo Day 2

January 4, 2010 Uncategorized

Congrats guys you have made it through day 2. The first week or so is the toughest since it requires lots of readjustment and preparation. Keep it up. Make sure you are still eating throughout the day and properly nourishing yourself, meaning eating enough food to feel comfortably full. I would also recommend that you continue to follow the zoleo guidelines on meal timings:

– eat within an hour of waking up

-eat every 2 to 3 hours without letting 5 or more hours pass between meals

Here’s what my day 2 looked like:

Breakfast: 3 eggs and a tangerine

Lunch: Salad and baked trout

Snack: Steamed Broccoli w/ a sprinkle of cheese (yes I cheated)

Dinner: Turkey taco in a lettuce shell and stuffed bell pepper (stuffed with turkey, tomato, avocado, hot sauce and baked for 15 minutes) this was a new creation and it was quite yummy.

Paleo isn’t so hard and forces you to get creative with your foods, so have fun doing it!

Day 2 down…Julia and I watched an episode of “Cake Boss”. Not a good thing to do while on Paleo. She’s already mentioned how hard it is. I feel good. I am going to be a good husband and try to keep her going.
Weighed in at 206…down 2 pounds already.
Breakfast was a bacon, mushroom, tomato 3 egg scramble.
Lunch was some lunch meat, pear and nuts.
Dinner was a salad w/ tomato, avacado, sunflower seads, green onion, broccoli, spinach with balsalmic and turkey meat loaf.
    Going good.
